Discusses the issue of systemic racism, highlighting its overt and covert form, and the role it plays in societal systems. This article emphasizes the importance of culturally responsive intergenerational programs as a means to combat racism, stereotypes, and bias. Five key recommendations are provided for strengthening culturally responsive, intergenerational programming, including embracing inclusivity, being intentional about diversity, seeking out allies, equipping participants as change agents, and diversifying DEI approaches.
