Discusses the value of incorporating people who have lived expertise (both those who were in care or adopted and parents/caregivers) into support programs and offers suggestions for where and how to incorporate those with lived expertise, such as on advisory boards or work groups or as service providers. Offers examples from programs around the country and makes recommendations for training, supporting, and elevating those with lived expertise.
