When to Co/Share Parenting in Kinship Families Who Have Adopted or Obtained Guardianship

The purpose of this chat is to provide child welfare professionals criteria for determining when or when not to recommend or pursue shared parenting between kinship caregivers and birth parents pre- or post-permanency.  These criteria will be based on the readiness and needs of members in the triad (the child, birth parents and caregivers)
