Description
The Adoption Support and Preservation Program (ASAP) provides evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic and educational post-adoption services that meet the unique needs of adoptive and guardianship families. The services are available for free to any Tennessee families who have either made their intent to adopt known or who have already finalized adoptions through Tennessee and families who have adopted through the public child welfare system in another state and moved to Tennessee. Families adopted through private, domestic, or intercountry channels are eligible for ASAP on a sliding scale fee basis.
ASAP services includes: Adoption and Guardianship Preparation Training; Parent education; In-home trauma assessment and family focused counseling; Crisis intervention; Case management; Community social events; Relief Team Development; and Therapeutic family and day camps
Provide comprehensive services that offer ongoing support at all stages of the adoption process.
