Putting the Pieces Together: Lifebook Work with Children training was developed by Lutheran Social Services of Illinois and the Center for Adoption Studies at Illinois State University. The DVD training is set up in 5 modules, totaling 6.5 hours. It can be delivered as a 1-day training or on separate training dates. The training provides instruction on how to do Lifebook work with children, including tips to get started, what to include and how to respond to children’s questions as they complete their Lifebook’s. The training contains video segments, mini-lectures, skill-building activities, and discussions. This training is designed for social workers and caregivers.
