KEEP SAFE (an adaptation of KEEP) is a skill enhancement education program for foster and kinship parents of children ages 13 – 18. The objective of KEEP SAFE is to give parents effective tools for dealing with their child’s externalizing and other behavioral and emotional problems and support them in the implementation of those tools. KEEP SAFE curriculum explores topics on developing and maintaining positive peer relationships, avoiding drug use, participation in health-risking sexual behavior, and problems in school.
