Description
Incredible Years Series is a series of three separate, multifaceted, and developmentally based training programs for parents, teachers, and children with the goal of preventing, reducing, and treating behavioral and emotional problems in young children. The parenting program is specifically focused on strengthening parenting competencies and fostering parent involvement in childrens school experiences, promote childrens academic, social and emotional skills and reduce conduct programs. The parent programs are delivered to groups of parents/caregivers according to childs age group: babies (0-12 months), toddlers (1-2 years), preschoolers (3-6 years), and school age (6-12 years).
The Parent training program is 14 weeks for prevention populations, and 18 20 weeks for treatment. The program can be delivered in the family home, community living setting, hospital, outpatient, community-based agency, and/or school setting. The Incredible Years has materials in English, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish.
Prevent and treat young children’s behavior problems and promote their social, emotional, and academic competence.
