The Alabama Pre-Post Connections Program (APAC) is a statewide program that provides a comprehensive range of services to all members of adoptive families. There are also certain services extended to prospective adoptive families, kinship care families, and professionals involved with the adoption population. APAC has three major service areas:
(1) Preparing to Adopt: Valuable guidance and resources to help prospective adoptive parents and those in the early stages of the process navigate adoption.
(2) Adoptive Family Services: Support services that are designed to meet the needs of adoptive families, including counseling, support groups, and post-adoption resources.
(3) Training and Resources: Essential training and resources that enhance the knowledge and skills of adoptive parents. This includes workshops, seminars, and online resources.
