The post-permanency profiles are designed to help state child welfare leaders learn from one another about the supports provided to adoptive and guardianship families. Each profile includes details about the state’s post-permanency program, including services provided, eligible population, cultural responsiveness, budget. The profiles also have information about pre-service training, tracking adoption/guardianship discontinuity, and reviews of adoption/guardianship assistance benefits. States with available profiles are listed below and in bold on the interactive map. Over time, we will be adding profiles as we receive state approval.

In the Post-Adoption Center’s post-permanency profiles, we have identified services that are specifically designed for the adoptive and guardianship population and are provided statewide or in large portions of the state. We have not included information about services available to all types of families, pilot programs, or the basic monthly subsidy and Medicaid benefits.

The search by particular services includes only the services in the Center’s post-permanency model, but the profiles include many other types of services.
